Privacy policy

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email, phone number, the delivery address if you choose delivery, the event date and details, the cake you want, any allergies, and photos you upload.
• Payment: your card goes straight to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see your card number. Stripe tells us whether a payment went through.
• Saved dates: if you ask us to remind you about a birthday or other date, we keep the date and what it's for.
• Reviews: the rating and words you give, shown with your first name and last initial.
• Cake makers: when a cake maker applies, their business name, contact details, area, kitchen type, photos of their work, prices, and the details Stripe needs to pay them.
• Visits: our public pages use the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to measure which ads and links lead to orders and sign-ups. They record things like the pages you visit and whether you placed an order, and Meta and Google may use cookies to do this. Pages reached from private links in our emails, like order confirmations, don't load it.

How we use it

• To take your order, match it with a cake maker, take payment, and keep you updated.
• To fix problems, handle refunds, and prevent fraud.
• To send the reminders you asked for, and to let you reorder quickly.
• To understand which ads work, and to improve our prices and service.

Who we share it with

• Your cake maker: the cake maker who takes your order gets your name, phone, email, the cake details, the date, and your address if it's a delivery. Cake makers who only see the order before accepting it don't get your contact details.
• Services that run Kheeva for us: Stripe (payments), Airtable (order records), Resend (email), Render (website hosting) and Meta (ad measurement). They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
• When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our rights.

We don't sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to run Kheeva and to meet tax and accounting rules. Saved dates are kept until you stop the reminders.

Your choices

• Every reminder email has a link to stop them.
• Email katieleesmith@kheeva.com to see the information we have about you, correct it, remove your saved card, or ask us to delete it. We may need to keep some order records for tax and legal reasons.
• You can limit ad tracking in your browser, your phone's settings, and your Facebook ad settings.

Children

Kheeva is for adults placing orders. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use secure connections, keep access to order records to the people who need it, and never handle card numbers ourselves. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us right away if you think something is wrong.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
