Common questions

Where do you deliver?

We're starting in the Dallas area, around East Dallas suburbs, Dallas (central), Fort Worth, Frisco / McKinney and Red Oak, TX. The order form checks your ZIP code and tells you right away if we can make it.

How much does delivery cost?

Pickup is free. Delivery depends on the distance from your cake maker: $20 for up to 5 miles, $30 for up to 10 miles, $50 for up to 20 miles. You see the fee before you order.

How much notice do you need?

  • Birthday cakes: 2 days, or sooner with a rush fee
  • Sheet cakes: 2 days, or sooner with a rush fee
  • Cupcakes: 2 days, or sooner with a rush fee
  • Gluten-free cakes: 3 days, or sooner with a rush fee
  • Sculpted cakes: 5 days, or sooner with a rush fee
  • Tiered cakes: 1 week, or sooner with a rush fee
  • Wedding cakes: 2 weeks, or sooner with a rush fee

When is my card charged?

We put a hold on your card when you order, like a hotel does. You're only charged when a cake maker accepts your order. For a custom cake, it's when you approve a cake maker's price. If no cake maker accepts, the hold drops off and you pay nothing.

How do custom cake prices work?

For tiered, wedding and sculpted cakes, you tell us your budget and what you have in mind. Up to 3 local cake makers who can make it send you their price. We show you the one that best fits your date and budget first, you can compare them all, and nothing is charged until you approve one.

Can I order cupcakes?

Yes, by the dozen, with a 2 dozen minimum.

Who makes the cakes?

Independent local cake makers, some with a bakery and some baking from home under the Texas cottage food law. Before a cake maker takes an order, we look at their work, talk with them, check what their customers say, and make sure they're allowed to sell. You can meet our cake makers.

Can I choose my cake maker?

For birthday cakes, sheet cakes and cupcakes, the first checked cake maker near you who accepts your order makes it. For custom cakes, up to 3 local cake makers send you an offer. We show you the one that best fits your date and budget first, you can compare them all, and you approve the one you want before you're charged. If a cake maker sent you a link to their Kheeva page, ordering from it sends the order to them first.

Can you handle allergies?

Tell us in your order and the cake maker will follow it. Most kitchens also handle wheat, milk, eggs and nuts, so if an allergy is serious, ask us before you order and we'll check with the cake maker.

What if something goes wrong?

Tell us within 48 hours using the link in your email, and a person on our team will call you. See our terms for the details.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email katieleesmith@kheeva.com. Before a cake maker accepts it, canceling is free. After that, the terms explain what happens.
